You’ve probably read by now that both the House and the Senate have passed the Medicare sustainable growth rate (SGR) bill. The official name of the bill is H.R. 4302, Protecting Access to Medicare Act of 2014. The main focus of the bill delays cuts of physician reimbursements under Medicare, but a small section of the bill delays the required adoption of the ICD-10 code set industrywide until at least October 1, 2015. The President is expected to sign the bill into law. Here is a link to the entire bill (refer to section 212 for the ICD-10 delay).
